We take pride in the Maroon House, and we've worked hard to create a space that is an extension of our family. We gutted the guest bathroom, gave all the bedroom closet doors a one-of-a-kind look, added a custom dry bar, both brick hearths got some TLC, reinforced our primary outdoor deck, repaired the pavers at the outdoor patio (off the family room) and accented with colorful furniture in all outdoor spaces, built a fire pit, added gravel to a long muddy driveway, added a dry creek bed, pruned the many beds of azaleas and created a no devices room dedicated to meditation and sound—too many projects to name.

• Our ensuite has a bathroom and a cozy sitting room and library focused on Black culture.

• The two lower-level bedrooms fit a small kid and two adults. 

• The guest room has a chair that converts to a bed and has the best natural light during the daytime, and the black-out curtains give you a hotel vibe at night. 

• We have an ottoman that converts to an euro bed in the zen room.
